In this mini episode I’ll summarise what happened in Australian politics for the month of August 2017. We’ll take a closer look at all the crazy things that went on in parliament, what legislation was debated, and whether anything was actually achieved.

Things I discussed:

  • There will be 8 politicians defending their right to be there before the High Court.
  • The Marriage Act postal survey is scheduled to be posted out mid-September, but only if it survives a High Court challenge in a few days time.
  • Selling honey may get easier (or tougher, I’m not quite sure, I haven’t actually read the Bill).
  • And go and check out ABC’s The House for some inside goss on what happens inside our national parliament.
